A hands-on introduction to the Japanese technique of ‘Tataki Zomé (flower pounding), a process of hammering flowers into paper and fabrics – using the plants that grow in the Pound Arts Garden and in the local area! Explore different compositions and experience the beautiful natural colours the plants can make.
Session to take place in the garden if the weather permits!
Fabrics are to be sourced from charity shops/ second hand stores!
Some flowers, plants and vegetables to be brought in, participants are encouraged to bring flowers from their own gardens or forage from the Pound Arts Community Garden!
Workshop runs from 10am to 12pm.
