Spindle Ensemble are an experimental, Bristol based neo-impressionist chamber quartet performing original compositions by composer and pianist Daniel Inzani. Hovering cinematically somewhere between jazz, folk and classical idioms whilst taking inspiration from artists such as Moondog, Eric Satie and Mulatu Astatke, Spindle Ensemble are made up of Daniel Inzani on piano, Jo Silverston on cello, Caelia Lunniss on violin and Harriet Riley on marimba/vibraphone.
Their debut album, Bea, was released as a luxury gatefold vinyl edition via new label Adderwell Music in 2017, one of those rare studio albums that makes the listener feel as if they’re actually present at a concert. Spindle Ensemble’s second album is due for release in 2020.
‘Beautiful sounds, definitely a band to watch.’ Fiona Talkington, BBC Radio 3, Late Junction
