Quiñonez’s work explores repetitive patterns in nature and the impact that new media, screens and technology have on us, influencing the way we perceive the world. As a result, her paintings often look like they have been digitally rendered.
Absence, fragmentation and movement are also key characteristics of her work. Myrna moved to UK from Mexico in 2020. She has recently been awarded an Arts Council DYCP Grant and is based at Spike Island Studios in Bristol.
