Peter is a local musician (living in Corsham) who has performed in a variety of settings in the past 30 years. He is currently the accompanist for City Sound Voices in Bath, and an all-female group in Wiltshire, The Harmonics. He plays for the Box and Colerne pantos every year, as well as regularly accompanying local singer Frankie Simpkins. He provides the musicianship for two Bath primary schools Year 6 productions every year, recent productions including Matilda and The Lion King. This is his third recital at the Pound with Matt Taylor, following a programme of Brahms and Beethoven and an all-Russian programme.
Matthew Taylor studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Yossi Zivoni and the Guildhall School of Music with Yfrah Neaman. On leaving he joined the B.B.C.Symphony orchestra and after two years left to freelance with orchestras in London.
Matthew has recently played the concertos of Brahms , Tchaikovsky and Sibelius with orchestras and is also the leader of the Swindon Symphony Orchestra with whom he has appeared as a soloist. This season he will the Stroud |Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Scheherazade by Rimsky Korsakoff.
