Counter’s Creek is an acoustic folk band offering an exciting blend of original music inspired by the folk traditions of the British Isles and beyond. Their performances feature lively jigs, heartfelt songs, and intricate 4-part harmonies, drawing on dance rhythms from Eastern Europe and West Africa. The band, consisting of Ben Cox (vocals, flute, whistles, harmonium), Jonathan Taylor (flute, whistles), Tom Newell (violin, viola), and Moss Freed (guitar), delivers virtuoso performances with a playful, engaging style.
Audiences can expect soulful singing, energetic tunes, and the opportunity to join in sea shanties and harmonies. With backgrounds in folk, jazz, and pop, the band members have performed at top UK festivals and with acts like Muse and One Direction.
