Clare Deniz – Cello
Since her Purcell Room debut Clare Deniz has performed throughout the UK and in Europe at Festivals, Music Clubs and Societies. Amongst her performing commitments she performs regularly for The National Trust and curated a programme for cello and classical guitar for the recent Capability Brown Festival 300 in 2016.Clare has recently performed Bach Suites at Gloucester Cathedral and at Worcester Cathedral and has given unaccompanied concerts at Amsterdam Concertgebouw and in Paris.She has appeared on television twice playing her cello to nightingales in the manner of Beatrice Harrison who was broadcast doing this in the 30s and 40s.Clare is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Member of The Royal Society of Musicians and she has a Post Graduate Diploma from Queens University Belfast. She studied a language at The School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies UCL London University and she has a Masters Degree from Goldsmiths College London University. She entered University at Post Graduate level.
Yoon Seok (John) Shin – Piano
Having won several major international and national competitions and awards, South Korean born British pianist Yoon Seok (John) Shin is much in demand and has developed a busy international career as a solo recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician across the Europe, Asia and in the United Kingdom giving over 50 concerts each year. Praised by many acclaimed critics with his poised, polished and innovative performances, Mr. Shin is currently a Young Steinway Artist and an official artist of T&B Entertainment (South Korea).
Mr. Shin has appeared at some of most prestigious venues such as the Steinway Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, the Southbank Centre, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Church Piccadilly, the Regent Hall, The Reform Club, Foundling Museum in London, Cheltenham Town Hall, Master Musicians International Recital Series in the North East UK, Konserthuset – The Nobel Prize Award Hall in Stockholm, Sweden, Moscow, Russia, Seoul Sejong Center Chamber Hall and Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall in South Korea.
Mr. Shin graduated from the Royal College of Music, London after completing the prestigious Artist Diploma and the Master of Music in Advanced Performance. Previously, he gained his Bachelor of Music in Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London and was awarded 1st Class Honours as well as the recipient of City Livery Club Prize for outstanding performances and achievements.
