Corsham’s Summer Busking Saturdays are back for 2025.
Every Saturday, from 3 May-27 September there will be live music in the centre of Corsham, from 11.30am-1pm, in the Martingate precinct, performed by a wide variety of musicians.
Saturday 10 May – Marick Baxter
Baxter is a flautist who began his musical journey as a teenager and has become a very active part of the West Country music scene. He has a passion for all kinds of music and enjoys returning to the streets where he first learned to play.
Saturday 17 May – Amie K
Singer-songwriter Amie K invites listeners into her eclectic emotional narrative, combining open and poetic lyrics with subtle production that highlights the story of her songs. Influenced by strong females voices like Maggie Rogers and Laura Marling.
Saturday 24 May – Jack Peeters
Pop, R&B, Blue, Soul, Country all on the Saxophone.
Saturday 31 May – David Moss
Fiddle, Irish, UK and Eastern European tunes.
Saturday 7 June – Rough Street Jug Band
Good time music – a foot tapping blend of Jazz, Blue, Ragtime and Swing going back to 1920s Memphis, Tennessee
Saturday 14 June – Liv Thorndale
Liv’s dream is to be a recording artist, packing out stadiums full of people. She will be singing songs by her favourite artists including Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Harry Styles and many more.
Saturday 21 June – Corsham Wind Band
A vibrant community of young musicians that has been sharing the joy of music, building friendships and inspiring excellence through their passion for performance for over 40 years.
Saturday 28 June – Corsham & Colerne Military Wives Choir
Backed by research showing the positive impact of group singing on mental and physical wellbeing, this choir offers a pressure-free environment – just a welcoming community of women who truly understand the highs and lows of military life.
Saturday 5 July – Al O Kane
Al O’Kane is an established local singer songwriter from Frome, Somerset. He has performed his unique blend of “Westcountry Gumbo from the Somerset Delta” all across the UK and Europe. Al recently won the Shrewsbury Folk Festival Open Mic competition with his heartfelt lyrics and catchy guitar. His music is available on all listening platforms.
Saturday 12 July – Sweet Misery
Geoff Fry and Sue Walker make up this eclectic duo with a whole range of music up their sleeves such as Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Oasis, The Monkees and much more.
Saturday 19 July – Chloe Mortimer
Chloe only started her journey in singing in September 2024 however things have moved along quickly and she has been invited to perform at weddings and other events. She sings a variety of music of different genres including: Billie Eilish, Abba, Paramore, Rhianna, Amy McDonald, Carrie Underwood, Amy Winehouse and more!
