While our doors are temporarily closed the Pound Arts Open: 2020 Edition remains open online. Discover a myriad of works by emerging and established artists inside our joyous festival of art, from your own home.
For the past twelve years the Annual Pound Arts Open has proved one of the most exciting and important exhibitions of our creative programme! It provides a great opportunity for artists to showcase their latest work to a broad audience, and for us as an organisation to celebrate the wealth of quality visual art being made in Wiltshire and beyond.
After a tough and troublesome year, Pound Arts is thrilled that it is still able to hold an Open exhibition. If art has taught us anything over the past months, it is that it can act as a global symbol of hope, offer individual moments of solace, and create much-needed daily distractions from the enormity of our new situation.
It should be said that we are even more grateful than ever to the artists who chose to support Pound Arts by submitting their work. Our visual arts programme relies on this income, particularly at this difficult time.
All successful submissions for this year’s open exhibition are available to view and purchase online. Please visit our Pound Arts Open: 2020 Edition Flick album to browse and buy the work.
You can also vote for your favourite piece in the exhibition by clicking the ‘favourite’ icon next to the artwork you like the most; the piece with the most votes will be the the recipient of our People’s Choice Prize (£250). We will be adding the online votes to the in-person votes at The Pound before announcing the winner of this prize.
