A lockdown love letter (in the form of a brilliant original artwork) to the people, artists & community who give this building it’s life. In support of our Pound Arts Comeback Fund.
Welcome to our Secret Summer Postcard Exhibition. The secret is that all the artworks are anonymous.
The result is around 60 unique and beautiful original pieces of artwork lovingly created by a selection of professional artists and dear friends of Pound Arts which are exhibited at The Pound before being sold on a first come, first served basis from 10am on Monday 28 September.
This is your chance to purchase some stunning works of art for just £50, while supporting Pound Arts (Registered Charity No. 1102787)
What a wonderful selection of artwork we have for you, and an awesome line-up of artists involved, a full list of contributors below. Each piece measures roughly 15 x 21cm, and comes with an authentication card and note from the artist.
If you’re looking for work by a particular artist you’ll have to study the postcards and guess correctly. Buyers won’t know who created the artwork until they have parted with their cash and the piece of artwork in your hands.
With your support, and the incredibly generosity from a number of magnificent painters, ceramicists, illustrators, designers, makers, photographers and print-makers we’re hoping to raise money for our Pound Arts Comeback Fund to enable us to continue supporting this fantastic community.
To see all the pieces exhibited please visit our flickr page and ONLINE GALLERY.
Thank you to all the artists involved. We love ya!
