A stylish love story. While on a forgettable first date together in Ohio, Slim and Queen are pulled over for a minor traffic infraction. The situation escalates, with sudden and tragic results, when Slim kills the police officer in self-defence.
This is a powerful, consciousness-raising tale of love that confronts the staggering human toll of systemic racism, continued police brutality towards African-Americans, and the life-shattering price of violence.
Clarifications on new Tier 2 restrictions from 2 December 2020:
1. Please book tickets for people in your household or support bubble only. You are no longer allowed to meet or socialise with friends or family from other households indoors (e.g. sitting together inside the auditorium or in the café).
2. Hospitality venues are not allowed to serve alcohol without a ‘substantial meal’ which means that we are unable to serve alcoholic drinks during evening performances.
The Pound arts centre is a COVID-19 secure venue. Please familiarise yourself with our visitor safety measures before your visit, thank you.
