Join textile artist Jess Way, for a hands-on workshop where you’ll explore colour, pattern, and mark-making on cloth. Whether you’re completely new to fabric art or looking to expand your creative toolkit, this 2-hour session is the perfect space to play, experiment, and create some truly unique fabrics.
You’ll be guided through a range of techniques- from freehand painting and stamping to stencil methods, designed to help you bring your ideas to life on fabric. There’ll be plenty of visual inspiration on hand, and Jess will support you in developing your own motifs, patterns, or artworks.
All materials are provided, including fabric to work on, paints, brushes, and tools. However, if you have a piece of clothing, some fabric, or home textiles you’d like to personalise, feel free to bring it along!
Before the workshop, consider what you might like your bundle of fabrics to be used for. Painted fabrics are fantastic for sewing projects, wall art, or perhaps as a banner for a small business.
