Alongside

Alongside (FKA Julian House) has been holding art exhibitions for the past three years; displaying artwork created by women, children, and men residing in our domestic abuse refuge services. Born from the passion of one of our first residents who rediscovered their love for art whilst staying with us, we soon witnessed how creating art supported our residents with their recovery and processing of their experiences. The display of their work is extremely empowering, therapeutic, and liberating. Every resident is supplied with artistic materials when they arrive, and we hold group creative sessions throughout the year to prepare for the exhibition.
