In 1915 rural France a group of women tend the land while their men fight the war: Hortense runs a farm with her daughter Solange and a new farmhand, orphan Francine. In a visually sumptuous setting, the women learn self-sufficieny, despite the hardships, and even fall in love. This intimate epic tale is an ode to the lives of women who refuse to be defeated.

Corali is a leader in dance-performance created by artists with a learning disability. Their practice is made through a process of artistic collaboration and they explore the relationship between performers with and without a learning disability, between dance and other art forms, and between professional and participatory artwork.
